Names found in the Book of Esther (by David Rooke)

Greetings!

I am still studying and will eventually write a series of scholarly articles submitted to Acadamia.com.

David Rooke sent me the following about the names found in the Book of Esther. David is unsure if there is anything to these names. The meaning of the names suggests a possible prophetic message.

Xerxes: A hero among kings to rule over man!

Greek Xerxes, from Old Persian Xšayaršan, literally “male (i.e. ‘hero’) among kings,” from Xšaya– “to rule over” (cf. shah ) + aršan “male, man, hero.” The Hebrew rendition was Ahashwerosh, Ahashresh

  4. hi Dean Coombs,
I saw a pic of an acrostic with the composing the first letter of the 19 names from Adam to Terah.
to spell a message. “I will forgive my enemies, showing compassion, forgiving those made from dust a second time”. I love the message but need to verify its a true translation.
My Hebrew is not great, but from my search I cant seem to line verify that translation.

    thanks
    ric

    1. I am glad that it spoke to you. Verifying the Hebrew is easy if you are acquainted with ancient Hebrew. But poetic syntax and such all come to play. I am delighted that the acrostic was meaningful to you. It is really there! Take one word at a time and do your own research for each word. It is not difficult once you start.

  5. I apologize for the state of this document. It could definitely have used more polish and explanation before being published.
