Understanding the Book of Enoch is crucial for interpreting its prophecy of seven 490-year epochs spanning Creation to Christ. The renewed interest in Enoch following the 1947 discovery of the Dead Sea Scrolls is significant, foreshadowing a recurrence of the Watchers’ sin.
The “Watchers” were high-ranking angels tasked with maintaining order over humanity and the cosmos. They reported directly to God. However, a contingent of these, led by a group of 20 with 180 subordinates (“200 in all,” Enoch 6:6), rebelled. The total number of rebellious Watchers is deduced to be one million (Enoch 69:3 with 6:8, i.e., 20 x 10 x 50 x 100).
Their sin? “In the days of Jarod” (Enoch’s father), these Watchers intermingled their DNA with humans, animals, and plants, producing giants and monstrous creatures. This corruption was the primary cause of Noah’s Flood—a necessary “reset” as all but Noah had corrupted their way on Earth.
Jesus’s words resonate with this: “As it was in the days of Noah, so it will be at the coming of the Son of Man” (Matt. 24:37). This genetic manipulation is recurring today and is being weaponized. Enoch’s warnings are relevant because human nature and the consequences of sin remain unchanged. Indeed, Enoch 1:1 declares its message is “for those living in the day of tribulation.”
Order and Chaos
The Book of Enoch’s significance for these last days extends beyond the passage quoted by Jude. The verses immediately following Jude’s quotation offer further insight:
“Enoch, the seventh from Adam, prophesied about them: “See, the Lord is coming with thousands upon thousands of his holy ones to judge everyone, and to convict all of them of all the ungodly acts they have committed in their ungodliness, and of all the defiant words ungodly sinners have spoken against him.” (Jude 1:14-15)
Continuing in Enoch:
“Observe ye everything that takes place in the heaven, how they do not change their orbit, and the luminaries which are in the heaven, how they all rise and set in order each in its season, and transgress not against their appointed order. … but ye–ye have not been steadfast, nor done the commandments of the Lord…” (Enoch 2:1, 4a)
Enoch emphasizes the contrast between the orderly cosmos and the Watchers’ transgression. The unwavering order of creation highlights their disobedience. They are without excuse.
(Compare this with Romans 1:18-32, “Therefore they are without excuse, because since the creation of the world…etc.” It is likely the Apostle Paul had Enoch 1-7 in mind, as evidenced by his emphasis on sexual transgression. See also the Book of Jude.)
This orderly creation testifies to several key points:
- The Watchers’ transgression and their introduction of chaos into God’s ordered universe.
- The 364-day calendar serves as a testament to divine order for both humanity and angels, marking the day of their judgment.
- The eventual triumph of God’s children over their enemies, as certain as the cycle of day and night.
The Sevenfold Light and Cosmic Order
The Book of Enoch prophesies that the Enochic calendar (“workings of the cosmos”) would be fully revealed at the end of the seventh cycle of “seventy weeks.” These seven 490-year cycles appear to culminate twice: at the First and Second Coming of the “Son of Man” (Enoch 93:9-14; cf. Daniel 9).
Enoch speaks of a promised “sevenfold light”:
“And after that in the seventh week (i.e., a “week” of generations of 70 years, see verse 3)… at its close shall the elect… receive sevenfold instruction concerning all His creation.” (Enoch 93:10-14)
This prophecy was initially fulfilled with Jesus’s first coming by revelation given to his apostles and prophets. It logically follows that a second fulfillment, not as a new foundation but as an expansion of the initial revelation, will occur. The understanding of cosmic order, now being revealed through both scientific discovery and divine revelation, was reserved for these last days.
The Cosmic Clock of Prophetic Potential
The heavens function as a cosmic clock, tracking time through complex cycles and rhythms. These rhythms, like the hands of a watch, have marked and continue to mark every event in biblical and world history. The orderly alignment of events with the movements of the sun, moon, and stars demonstrates a non-random universe.
Biblical events tend to cluster along these rhythmic frameworks, providing a structure for understanding historical progression. These temporal rhythms act like a gravitational force, guiding all things toward God’s plan and the destinies of both humans and angels, without negating free will.
While precise predictions remain elusive, these rhythms allow for the prediction of the probability and general nature of major events. Historical events occur in proportion to the “density” of these cosmic filaments or the “loudness” of overlapping chimes on God’s cosmic clock. New chapters in redemptive history unfold at these peak moments on God’s timeline.
These patterns become clear in retrospect but remain obscured when events are still potentials, even highly probable ones. Only God, the Beginning and the End, knows the end from the beginning.
Chart of “Seventy Generations of 70 Years”: The Enochian Key to Chronology
This chart presents a chronological framework derived from the Book of Enoch, proposing it as a foundational key for understanding other biblical chronologies. It posits that the genealogies in Luke and Matthew are variations of this Enochian structure, as are other ancient chronologies (including Genesis in the Masoretic Text (MT), Septuagint (LXX), Samaritan Pentateuch (SP) with the “Key of 23” and even the Sumerian Tablets).
Luke 3:38 identifies Adam as “…Adam, the son of God.” This chart proposes a unique interpretation of Adam’s creation, suggesting he was created with the appearance of a 70-year-old—young by antediluvian standards. This concept draws from the phrase “You shall die in the day that you eat from the tree,” combined with the understanding that “a day is as 1000 years.” Consequently, Adam’s lifespan is interpreted as 70 + 930 = 1000 years.
This initial “70 years” is interpreted as a foreshadowing of the pre-incarnate Christ, who appears 77 generations later in Luke’s genealogy.
Matthew’s genealogy diverges, presenting three sets of “14 generations” to Abraham and concluding there. This calculation places Abraham’s birth at 2876 BC, which aligns with two 490-year cycles from the Enochian Abraham (1896 BC).
(Note: Matthew overlaps the generation of the exile to create a rounded 40 generations to Christ.)
Because Matthew and Luke trace their genealogies through the line of Judah, not Levi (the priestly line), the Conquest of Canaan is placed three generations later in their accounts. (See “Nahshon” on Wikipedia.)
Because Matthew and Luke trace their genealogies through the line of Judah, not Levi (the priestly line), the Conquest of Canaan is placed three generations later in their accounts. (See “Nahshon” in Wiki.).
Footnote: See chart note on creation's seven days/years and chronology. Jubilees (4:1; 3:7) links key events to Adam's 70th and 77th years, possibly influencing Luke's 77 generations (cf. Enoch). While the MT mentions only Egypt, the SP/LXX specify "430 years in Canaan and Egypt," reducing the Egyptian sojourn to 215 years—a reading with strong support. My eclectic approach views Genesis as a complex numeric and symbolic puzzle, incorporating both readings. Adjusted by Acts 7, the SP/LXX reading places creation 2513 years pre-Exodus, totaling 2520 with the symbolic seven creation years (7 x 360 years). Notably, with a 1446 BC Exodus, Abraham's birth (calculated using the 430 years in both Canaan and Egypt) falls 1800 years (5 x 360) after creation's full week of years, placing his birth at the start of the "sixth day"—aligning him symbolically with Adam.
Enoch’s Prophetic Outline: From Creation to the New Heaven (70+30 Generations)
Enoch’s prophecy (Book of Enoch 91-93) outlines ten “weeks” (cycles) of 490 years, spanning from Creation to the “Appearing of the New Heaven” (30 generations beyond Christ). Notably, the final three cycles appear out of order in the narrative, emphasizing the significance of three-plus-seven and seven-plus-three patterns.
Enoch uses “idealistic” generations of 70 years, equating one day to 70 years (cf. Daniel 9). The parallels between Enoch and the Bible are evident; the following clarifies the chart’s structure:
Enoch 91-93 — (One day equals seventy years)
Enoch’s Vision of the Weeks – Chapter 93
Introduction:
-
Enoch receives his visions and recounts them from the sacred writings (Enoch 93:1-2).
-
Enoch declares the content will pertain to “the children of righteousness,” “the elect,” and the “plant of uprightness,” learned from heavenly visions, angels, and tablets (Enoch 93:2).
Week-by-Week Breakdown:
1st Week:
-
Interpretation: Seven generations (equivalent to “seven days”) span from “God” to Enoch’s birth (or from Adam to Enoch’s ascension). The chart reflects seven generations to his birth, as does Luke 3:37-38, likely representing the traditional understanding.
-
Enoch Verse: “I was born the seventh in the first week, While judgement and righteousness still endured.” (Enoch 93:3)
2nd Week:
-
Interpretation: Seven generations from Enoch to Noah’s Flood, including the “Cainan” of Luke 3:36. (Note the reference to the Noahide Laws; see Book of Jubilees 7:20-28.)
-
Enoch Verse: “And after me there shall arise in the second week great wickedness, And deceit shall have sprung up; And in it there shall be the first end. And in it a man shall be saved; And after it is ended unrighteousness shall grow up, And a law shall be made for the sinners.” (Enoch 93:4)
3rd Week:
-
Interpretation: Seven generations from Shelah to Terah, inclusive. “The plant of righteousness” (Enoch 93:5) refers to Abraham, elected at birth through Terah at age 70 (Genesis 11:26-27). Compare this with Enoch. While one could begin from Creation to Abraham inclusive, this chart follows Luke’s lineage, which begins with “God.” The omission of the LXX’s Cainan has the same chronological effect.
-
Enoch Verse: “And after that in the third week at its close A man shall be elected as the plant of righteous judgement, And his posterity shall become the plant of righteousness for evermore.” (Enoch 93:5)
4th Week:
-
Interpretation: Seven generations from Abraham to Moses, encompassing the Exodus, Tabernacle, and Conquest.
-
Enoch Verse: “And after that in the fourth week, at its close, Visions of the holy and righteous shall be seen, And a law for all generations and an enclosure shall be made for them.” (Enoch 93:6)
5th Week:
-
Interpretation: Seven generations from Moses to King David. David prepared for the Temple in every way, though it was built 3.5 years into his son’s reign. Both the Bible and Enoch indirectly attribute the Temple to David (1 Chronicles 22-29). David lived for 70 years (2 Samuel 5:4).
-
Enoch Verse: “And after that in the fifth week, at its close, The house of glory and dominion shall be built for ever.” (Enoch 93:7)
6th Week:
-
Interpretation: Seven generations from Solomon to the 70-year exile. The Book of Enoch is ambiguous regarding whether the exile is included or excluded at the end of the 6th week.
-
Enoch Verse: “And after that in the sixth week all who live in it shall be blinded, And the hearts of all of them shall godlessly forsake wisdom. And in it a man shall ascend; And at its close the house of dominion shall be burnt with fire, And the whole race of the chosen root shall be dispersed.” (Enoch 93:8)
7th Week:
-
Interpretation: Seven generations from the exile to the Messiah. The prophesied “sevenfold increase of light” (of revelation) is revealed to an apostate people engaged in dead works. The Messiah is here called “The Eternal Plant of Righteousness.” The “70 weeks” of Daniel 9 correspond to this 7th week of Enoch 93:9-14. However, Enoch’s scale is 70 times larger than Daniel’s: in Enoch, one day equals 70 years, whereas in Daniel, one day equals one year.
-
Enoch Verse: “And after that in the seventh week shall an apostate generation arise, And many shall be its deeds, And all its deeds shall be apostate. And at its close shall be elected The elect righteous of the eternal plant of righteousness, To receive sevenfold instruction concerning all His creation.” (Enoch 93:9-10)
- 8th Week: Seven generations (Enoch 91). The last three weeks appear out of order in chapter 91, and their relationship to the overall sequence is debated.
- 9th Week: Seven generations (Enoch 91).
- 10th Week: Seven generations (Enoch 91).
A Countdown from the Exodus to the Present
A general parallel exists between the events listed in Enoch’s prophecy, starting from the Exodus and continuing to the present day.
Looking at the prophecy of seven weeks (or generations) in the Book of Enoch, starting from the Exodus instead of from creation, we can see that 70 weeks of 70 years have passed from Moses to the present. This means that the 40 years between the Exodus and when Israel entered the Promised Land (1446-1406 BC) plus 3430 more years to the present day equals AD 1985 to 2025.
(Note: While a “generation” can vary in length in the Bible (40, 70, or 100 years), the Book of Enoch consistently uses 70 years, emphasizing the book’s focus on the number seven.)
Footnote: "Plant of Righteousness" Compare the third "week" with the seventh in Enoch's prophecy. They both refer to the "Plant of Righteousness" and their seed/elect. This has the effect that what is said about Abraham can also be true of Jesus. And the parallel is not by accident, for the prophecy about Abraham also goes on to prophecy about Abraham's seed, the Messiah.
"After that in the third week at its close...a man shall be elected (i.e., Abraham), and his posterity shall become the plant of righteousness for evermore," (93:5).
And the above statement is explicitly said to be fulfilled at the end of the seventh "week", where the "posterity" of Abraham is again called, "The Eternal Plant of Righteousness," (93:10, cf., 10:15) upon whom the elect "hang" (38:2).

What year was the judgment on the angels? 70×70 If 4900 years is the time of lock-up; and the End of the Fig Tree generation or Rebirth of Israel generation is 70 Year but adding 10 to the 80th year. 1948 to 2028. May 14th, 2029 would be the end of them being 80. Pslams 90:10.
I have a study that says the judgment began in the Year 1110 of man. Others say it was 2900 BC.+ 1100 would end 4000 years; Perfect. What about the additional 10 years 2017-18 was 6000 years and also 120th Jubilee. “As the days of Noah Replica”. 600 and 120. Jesus said the Generation would not pass before He comes on a cloud. We are on the 7 year of Jubilee 120. The flood began 7 days later. 2028 would put us at the end of the fig tree generation. Those locked-up angels are due release in 2028 Before Yom Kippur. Psalms 90:10 appears to be perfect.
2025 AD is 70 jubilees from when Israel entered the Promised Land in 1406 BC, when the jubilees officially began.
But the whole subject is so vast that I personally spends most my time studying past patterns rather than attempting to project into the future.
There are many interpretations of when the 70th year Jubilee will occur and the 70th week timeline. However just for my better understanding, will the tribulation start after the 70th Jubilee or will it conclude at the 70th Jubilee? Also what are your thoughts on the coming asteroid Apophis due to impact the earth on April 13, 2029. It’s supposed to be the size I think of 3 football fields. Some are saying this is “the sign” in the sky before the son of man comes in the clouds in Matthew 24. The asteroid date is also supposedly 3.5 yrs after the feast of tabernacles -the last trump before the herold (sign) before Christ comes (rapture).
Thanks for your question.
While there may be many opinions about 70 jubilees, one thing that’s for sure: the great majority of scholars (evangelical) now accept 1406 BC as the date of the Conquest, which is the official start of the jubilees, and that the majority of scholars also agree with the plain text of the Bible that a jubilee is 7 x 7 years. Hence, 70 jubilees come to AD 2025. Many have notions based upon merely a few months or years of research, whose views spread out because they happen to have a loud megaphone. However, it is not their lifelong study and so their views only confuse.
We all like complex things simplified. We like it black and white. But the fact is there are many possible paths God may take when the final Shemita (seven years) unfolds. It can be before or after the 70th, or perhaps in between. Moreover, the “time, times, and half-a-time” interweave so that different themes follow different timelines so as to interact with one another. Many times in the past the “seven-years” has played out in various ways, foreshadowing the final climax. By spending much time studying the math of the foreshadows one soon realizes the infinite possibilities of the climactic final fulfillment. And this is why “no man knows the day or the hour”.
About Apophis: I wrote about Apophis in-depth in early 2007. My main point of that article is the timing of the announcement that there was a 2.7 percent chance of Apophis hitting the earth coincided with the great tsunami that killed 300,000 people, as a warning of what would be even worse if an asteroid ever hit the ocean. I also speak about another heavenly sign that occurred at the same time in Saggitarius.
I wrote:
https://www.bible-codes.org/apophis.htm
I this article I mainly write about its meaning numerically and thematically. However, I see it as a warning rather than the real deal, and I have not changed my mind.
As early as a few years ago I briefly refer to Apophis and display a prophetic image of a meteor striking the mountain. Actually, the Lord has revealed this warning many times. For example, see the sign of the meteor striking the moon during the blood-moon eclipse an hour after posting a prophetic image of the same.
https://1260d.com/2019/01/25/meteorite-hits-moon-exact-minute-of-2019-eclipse/
But I repeat, I do not have a witness in my spirit that Apophis is anything other than a warning of some unknown meteor in the future striking the earth.

The calendar of Enoch works only with a intercalary year on every 4th year.
364 + 364 + 364 + 369 on the intercalary year, in order to stay in sync,
with the 4 years of the the Solar cycle of 1,461 days.
The calendar of God works with an intercalary year of 381 days
360 +360 +360 +381 = 1,461 days
The Gregorian works with an intercalary of 1 day per 4 years,
365 + 365 + 365 + 366 = 1,461 days.
Interesting way of approaching it. However, both fail to accomplish the fundamental problem of maintaining symmetry. The 364 calendar emphasizes time as divided into even weeks which your addition of 5 days destroys, and the 360 puts an emphasis on months of 30 days with your addition of 21 days destroys.
But still, interesting, though wrong.
Question,
4900 years = 100 x 7 x 7, Leviticus 25:8, And thou shalt number seven sabbaths of years unto thee, seven times seven years; and the space of the seven sabbaths of years shall be unto thee forty and nine years.
Jubilee years are 50 year increments. So 98 Jubilees also = 4900 years.
49 x 50 = 2450 { Sabbath x Jubilee }
So in 2450 years from day 1 Sabbath and Jubilee would be the same day.
Is there a special name for this day?
And as a coincidence 2450 x 2 = 4900.
I appreciate this observation. In my estimation, perhaps “the year of our Lord’s passion” is a good name for the year 4900 AM (i.e., the beginning of the 50 hundredth year, being 30-130 AD). I think that is the year that the entire elect race (those who truly are brought to enter by faith into the “Sabbath” rest in Christ) obtained in Christ, the legal basis of freedom from our sin debt. This is upon the supposition that 4870 BC was the beginning of time. The year 7000 AM (AD 2130) would also be a major date within this same line of thought, but I should add that it seems likely to me (based on other certain Scriptural considerations) that the vast majority of people living right now (2022) in the west will meet their maker between now and 2044. The important thing is that we be found washed from our sins in Christ, not having our own righteousness (as concerning our justification), but having his righteousness imputed to us through our receiving of him by faith.
Concerning Sanctification (and on another topic), I would like to maintain a testimony against any supposed “images of God” whatsoever:
The Westminster Larger Catechism on the second commandment.
Q. 107. Which is the second commandment?
A. The second commandment is, Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth: Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the Lord thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me; and showing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments.
Q. 108. What are the duties required in the second commandment?
A. The duties required in the second commandment are, the receiving, observing, and keeping pure and entire, all such religious worship and ordinances as God has instituted in his Word; particularly prayer and thanksgiving in the name of Christ; the reading, preaching, and hearing of the Word; the administration and receiving of the sacraments; church government and discipline; the ministry and maintenance thereof; religious fasting; swearing by the name of God, and vowing unto him: as also the disapproving, detesting, opposing, all false worship; and, according to each one’s place and calling, removing it, and all monuments of idolatry.
Q. 109. What are the sins forbidden in the second commandment?
A. The sins forbidden in the second commandment are, all devising, counseling, commanding, using, and anywise approving, any religious worship not instituted by God himself; tolerating a false religion; the making any representation of God, of all or of any of the three persons, either inwardly in our mind, or outwardly in any kind of image or likeness of any creature: Whatsoever; all worshiping of it, or God in it or by it; the making of any representation of feigned deities, and all worship of them, or service belonging to them; all superstitious devices, corrupting the worship of God, adding to it, or taking from it, whether invented and taken up of ourselves, or received by tradition from others, though under the title of antiquity, custom, devotion, good intent, or any other pretense: Whatsoever; simony; sacrilege; all neglect, contempt, hindering, and opposing the worship and ordinances which God has appointed.
Q. 110. What are the reasons annexed to the second commandment, the more to enforce it?
A. The reasons annexed to the second commandment, the more to enforce it, contained in these words, For I the Lord thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me; and showing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments; are, besides God’s sovereignty over us, and propriety in us, his fervent zeal for his own worship, and his revengeful indignation against all false worship, as being a spiritual whoredom; accounting the breakers of this commandment such as hate him, and threatening to punish them unto divers generations; and esteeming the observers of it such as love him and keep his commandments, and promising mercy to them unto many generations.
So let me get this straight. You left out 3 entire weeks to Enochs prophesy, then justify it by saying “I didnt want to over complicate things”?
Unreal!
Yep!
Note to reader: Study the chapters in Enoch to do with this prophecy for yourself and judge for yourself whether my analysis is obviously correct. Also, you will see why the extra three weeks (490 x 3 years) in the text appear out of order and may have been a later addition to Enoch.
I never claim that Enoch is inspired like the Bible, only that it contains things that are true, but not everything. The Bible is the touchstone that tests all things.
Sounds like a touched a nerve, Matthew!
I’m a bit confused. Read quite a bit of your stuff on this matter, and it seems you had several starting points in your calculations. To me, it seems the concept of Jubilee began when they entered their Promised Land. You have that as one of your begin dates, but you also mention the Crusades and Jesus’ first Advent. You might have others, but at this point it’s become a blur. I can’t understand why, when 2025 is such a strong date for your theory, that you don’t expound on the estimated dates of Christ’s return/rapture. Congrats on your work. Will stay plugged in and keep digging.
The commencement of the Jubilee was officially marked with Israel’s entry into the Promised Land, as you have mentioned. However, the measurement of distances between significant events also employs Jubilees as a standard unit of measurement. For instance, the Flood, occurring in 2458-2456 BC, establishes a new reference point, spanning 49 x 50 years to the birth of Christ around 6 BC. Therefore, when we adopt the ancient practice of measuring time in units of 49 years, as documented in the Book of Jubilees, we account for 50 Jubilees. Nonetheless, the year 1406 BC is recognized as the definitive starting point in accordance with the Law of Moses.
Hello, can i ask something about what happening today that can link about fulfilled in the Prophecy of Enoch. Sorry about my english grammar .
The best way to discuss this is to do so here. This way there will be a response and others can benefit.
Direct from Enoch
And Enoch began to recount from the books and said:
‘ I was born the seventh in the first week,
While judgement and righteousness still endured.
4 And after me there shall arise in the second week great wickedness,
And deceit shall have sprung up;
And in it there shall be the first end.
And in it a man shall be saved;
And after it is ended unrighteousness shall grow up,
And a law shall be made for the sinners.
And after that in the third week at its close
A man shall be elected as the plant of righteous judgement,
And his posterity shall become the plant of righteousness for evermore.
6 And after that in the fourth week, at its close,
Visions of the holy and righteous shall be seen,
And a law for all generations and an enclosure shall be made for them.
7 And after that in the fifth week, at its close,
The house of glory and dominion shall be built for ever.
8 And after that in the sixth week all who live in it shall be blinded,
And the hearts of all of them shall godlessly forsake wisdom.
And in it a man shall ascend;
And at its close the house of dominion shall be burnt with fire,
And the whole race of the chosen root shall be dispersed.
9 And after that in the seventh week shall an apostate generation arise,
And many shall be its deeds,
And all its deeds shall be apostate.
10 And at its close shall be elected
The elect righteous of the eternal plant of righteousness,
To receive sevenfold instruction concerning all His creation.
11 [For who is there of all the children of men that is able to hear the voice of the Holy One without being troubled ? And who can think His thoughts ? and who is there that can behold all the works 12 of heaven ? And how should there be one who could behold the heaven, and who is there that could understand the things of heaven and see a soul or a spirit and could tell thereof, or ascend and see 13 all their ends and think them or do like them ? And who is there of all men that could know what is the breadth and the length of the earth, and to whom has been shown the measure of all of them ? 14 Or is there any one who could discern the length of the heaven and how great is its height, and upon what it is founded, and how great is the number of the stars, and where all the luminaries rest ?]
[Chapter 91]
12 And after that there shall be another, the eighth week, that of righteousness,
And a sword shall be given to it that a righteous judgement may be executed on the oppressors,
And sinners shall be delivered into the hands of the righteous.
13 And at its close they shall acquire houses through their righteousness,
And a house shall be built for the Great King in glory for evermore,
14d And all mankind shall look to the path of uprightness.
14a And after that, in the ninth week, the righteous judgement shall be revealed to the whole world,
b And all the works of the godless shall vanish from all the earth,
c And the world shall be written down for destruction.
15 And after this, in the tenth week in the seventh part,
There shall be the great eternal judgement,
In which He will execute vengeance amongst the angels.
Question.
Have you actually read the book of Enoch. If so, you must have missed week 8, 9 and 9.
And they are not 490 days–they are 1000 day for each of the 10–not 7, weeks
Hi,
Yes I am fully aware of that, but did not wish to overcomplicate things. You will notice that weeks 8-10 are out of order. They occur before the other seven. This is likely because they are a later addition to the text.
However, God is sovereign either way. It happens that both ten weeks and seven weeks are true. In time I will explain all that, the Lord willing.
4900 and 3430 years are indeed both very significant and tie-in together perfectly. But as I said, I have learned that if one overcomplicates something, fewer bother to read the post in this age of instant gratification.
If you go to my 360calendar.com converter you will see that the Egyptian calendar is about 4900 years and this period represents a pivotal date in the Sumerian Kings List. Please see https://1260d.com/2017/09/29/moses-rod-swallows-sumerian-king-list/ for the exact dates.
But the reality is, I think, that the extra three “weeks” are a later addition. I speculate that they were added when things did not end on the seventh week as anticipated, and so a few more “weeks” were added. The book of Enoch is not inspired in the same sense as the rest of the Bible and is clearly the result of numerous editorial additions. Ascertaining what belongs to the original Enoch is always tentative at best.
this 3 weeks are the 21 added days to the calendar of god that synchronize it to the solar year
48 x 30 = 1440 + 21 = 1461. there are 1461 days in a 4 year period. in Gods calendar 48 months = 1440 days the 49th month[ the intercalary month } is the 21 days.
I appreciate your opinion but I have to disagree with anyone’s assertion that the books of Enoch are not inspired! I think it would be beneficial to actually put the magnifying glass on who it was that removed those books to create the so-called inspired book which is called the Canon Bible. I much prefer to read entire scripture of that was found in the Dead Sea Scrolls and judge it for yourself. Not insult anyone but I’m afraid it would be somewhat foolish to consider that Enoch was not inspired. After all he was of the Seventh Generation and he also was raised. There is no evidence or record of his death. It says nowhere he died and the age at his death. This is pretty much a theme throughout the Canon Bible. There is also scripture that states not to add or take away or change. There are great consequences that follow. So for me whoever removed those many books not just Enoch but Ezra jubilees Etc have hell to pay. Appreciate you allowing people to voice their opinion and also learn from the post. Only wanting scriptural truth
Ethiopians, with their original bible, would agree with you, I think. I always tend to shy away from anything the Roman Catholics may have had a hand in, regardless of the date of their involvement.
Thank you for your comment. That’s a fair assessment. However, we must be cautious not to reject truth just because it comes from an unexpected source. Remember, the devil quoted scripture when tempting Jesus in the desert.
